The agreement was signed in Tashkent by Gholam-Reza Amirkhani, head of the NLAI, and officials from Uzbekistan’s Islamic Civilization Center, on the sidelines of an international expert forum titled “The Legacy of a Great Past – The Foundation of an Enlightened Future.”
The ceremony, held in the presence of conference participants and foreign guests, was reported by the NLAI’s public relations office.
The Tashkent forum, also known as “Brilliant Heritage of the Past – Foundation of a Bright Future,” gathered more than 100 scholars and experts from 20 countries, underscoring Uzbekistan’s growing role as a regional hub for cultural and scientific dialogue on Islamic heritage.
Established on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Islamic Civilization Center of Uzbekistan seeks to safeguard and promote the historical, cultural, and intellectual legacy of Islamic nations while fostering research and international cooperation.
