The gathering, co-organized by the three embassies, highlighted shared linguistic and cultural traditions of Persian-speaking nations. Each year the program centers on selected themes; this edition focused on the “Cyrus Cylinder of Human Rights” and the celebrated Iranian poet Hafez.
Opening remarks were delivered by Diplomatic Society President Gertrud Tauchhammer, followed by Ambassador Eshragh-Jahromi, who described the Cyrus Cylinder—dating back to the 6th century BC—as an enduring symbol of human rights. He noted its influence on modern principles, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and emphasized its relevance as both historical artifact and moral guide.
The evening featured live performances by musical groups from Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, underscoring the region’s artistic traditions. Alongside the cultural program, visitors explored an exhibition of handicrafts and cuisine representing the three countries.
