French play, 'The Inseparables, the Passion of Gardener' appears in Persian

A pensive play, 'The Inseparable, the Passion of Gardener' by French playwright, stage director, drama trainer, and university teacher Jean-Pierre Sarrazac has been published in Persian.

From the series of plays of French contemporary literature, this book has been translated into Persian by Laleh Shahabi Qarib. Tehran-based Qatreh Publishing has released 'The Inseparable, the Passion of Gardener' in 62 pages.

Who are The Inseparables? Two close enemies? Two brothers? Two faces of the same being? They both wait for the son who never comes. We discover, coming and going through the partition, their confrontation with the words and gestures of everyday life, on the scale of a tale or a myth.

Strange friendship between an old Jewish lady and a young boy who tends the flowers in her garden forms. What is the nature of this gardener’s passion? Between the spring of their meeting and the winter of their tragic separation, all the stages of a not-so-ordinary racism are replayed.

Jean-Pierre Sarrazac has published several studies and books on drama and dramaturgy. He directed several plays by playwrights Valère Novarina, Strindberg, von Saaz and himself.

Sarrazac is an emeritus professor of theatre studies at the University of Paris III: Sorbonne Nouvelle and invited professor at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium).
