Translated into Turkish by Nezahat Basci, the book was first introduced at the Istanbul Book Fair in 2017. The original Persian edition, published by Iran’s Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), reached its 11th printing in May.

'Call Me Ziba' tells the story of a teenage girl living in a girls’ care home who dreams of spending her birthday with her father. Her plan to help him escape from a mental hospital leads to an emotional and adventurous journey through Tehran — one that becomes a path to self-discovery and reconciliation between father and daughter.

Since its first publication in 2015, the novel has earned multiple national and international honors. It received awards from the IIDCYA and the Children’s Book Council Festival in 2016, was nominated for Iran’s Book of the Year Award, and selected for the International Youth Library in Munich the same year. It later appeared on the IBBY Honor List in 2018, and its English edition was showcased at the Bologna Book Fair.

The novel has also been translated into Armenian by Gevorg Asaturyan and became a bestseller at the 35th Tehran International Book Fair. The 192-page work, part of the “Today’s Young Adult Novel” series, has reached a total circulation of 27,500 copies.

A film adaptation of 'Call Me Ziba', directed by Rasoul Sadrameli and co-produced by the IIDCYA, the Farabi Cinema Foundation, H.I.B. Film Company, and Milad Film, was released earlier this year. The film won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Film at the 43rd Fajr Film Festival.
