Held in Hong Kong’s Special Administrative Region yesterday, the annual forum, attended by ministers, cultural leaders, and representatives from more than 30 countries, aims to enhance regional cultural exchange, strengthen diplomatic ties, and address shared challenges through sustained dialogue and collaboration.

“As the world shifts from a unipolar to a multipolar structure with Asia at its core, cultural cooperation has become more crucial than ever,” said Salehi, Iran’s representative at the forum. He highlighted Asia’s rich cultural heritage and human capital as key drivers for deeper regional partnerships.

Salehi emphasized Iran’s longstanding commitment to regional engagement, citing the country’s strategic location and civilizational legacy as assets in fostering constructive ties with neighboring nations.

Addressing current global crises, the minister expressed deep concern over the war in Gaza, calling it “one of the ugliest human events” and describing the besieged territory as “an open wound.” He urged the international community to recognize its humanitarian responsibility in responding to the crisis.

Throughout his remarks, Salehi underscored the role of culture as a bridge for peace, calling on Asian countries to invest in joint initiatives, expert working groups, and sustained multilateral dialogue.

The ACCF2025 program includes workshops, roundtables, and expert meetings focused on leveraging cultural collaboration to shape a more unified and resilient Asia. Since its inception, the forum has served as a platform to elevate the role of cultural diplomacy in the region’s future.
